The Urban Drainage Group Annual Spring Conference 2016 sees a return to Birmingham and the Midland Engineering Centre.  Feedback has confirmed that delegates appreciate a central location.  As many travel by train a slightly later start to the day’s proceedings has been put in place.  For those requiring a more leisurely start to the day, there are a variety of hotels in the Broad Street and Brindley Place areas.

Registration and coffee will commence at 09.00 with the welcome presentation commencing at 09.25.  The programme hosts an array of industry speakers, with an opening address by David Martin of Wessex Water.   The UDG spring event attracts around 100 delegates every year and is an excellent networking opportunity for all those involved in the urban drainage industry.  The day will finish around 4pm.

The conference will focus on various improvement strategies and monitoring techniques within the industry, taking into account past and current practices.  The post lunch session will include new innovations and a case study on non-traditional techniques in drainage.
